I am a Professional Certified Health and Well-being Coach and a medically retired Family Medicine Physician. I knew at a young age that I would choose a profession that helped people live healthier lives. I received my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine and my Health & Well-being Coach certification from Wellcoaches® School of Coaching.
As a mom with a history of being overweight and current diagnoses of Multiple Sclerosis, Osteoporosis, and Polymyalgia Rheumatica, I have had to make many lifestyle changes in my own life in order to live a healthier, happier, more fulfilling life.
My own experiences with chronic health issues, in addition to my skills and education make health and wellness coaching a natural extension of my career as a physician. My strength as a coach lies in my pragmatic approach which is balanced by empathy, respect, compassion, and a gracious spirit.
In addition to being a physician and health coach, I am a wife and a mom to a preteen son and teenage daughter. Travel with my family, reading, guided meditation, gentle yoga, and walks with my pooch are some of my favorite activities.
Skillful coaching along with a high level of empathy and understanding allows me to guide clients to better health and well-being. Throughout my time as a coach, I have helped many clients improve their physical and emotional health and achieve a higher level of life satisfaction. I would love to help you too!
My personal journey to finding a healthy lifestyle while also dealing with the chaos of parenting two kiddos has given me insight into the many challenges parents with chronic illness encounter. This is why I am especially committed to coaching other moms with health issues.
